Thurstanites carry the important battle forward

OBSERVER-MOBITEL AWARDS....Sajeeva Salgado (72,987) of Thurstan has obtained a slender 176 votes lead over his closest rival another Thurstanite Ashan Wanigaratne (72,811) in the race to the first place in the All Island Contest while the fight between Kavindu Ashan Perera (47,101) of Royal, Panadura and Angelo Jayasinghe (46,927) of Maris Stella, Negombo too is hotting up in the Outstation contest with the lead narrowing down to 174 votes at the Sunday Observer/Mobitel contest at the end of count number 21.
