Ra-Blue shoots down Fonny's idea
Politically bankrupt Fonny, who is day dreaming of displacing Ra-Blue
and become the Op Leader, is feeling diffident to reveal his ambitions
in public. Fonny has declared that he would join the Elephant Party on
three conditions. Astute Ra-Blue shot down the idea promptly saying that
Fonny must pay Rs. 20 and get a membership card if he hopes to become a
member of the You-En-Pee.
Love-Slave asked to prove claim
After Ra-Blue tightened the screws on a Woc Com mandate, Saa-jeet,
the Love-Slave telephoned Fonny. "Shall we form an alliance? I will come
with the You-En-Pee Reformists Wing," he said. Thereupon, Fonny said
that Love-Slave must first and foremost prove that he has an absolute
majority before talking about alliances.
Tough going for Bell Boys
Soo-me, the One-sa was greatly perturbed after an internal survey
revealed that the Bell Boys would receive only around two percent of the
votes at the forthcoming polls that are provincial. An irate Soo-me
called the chief Bell Boys in Kegalle, Ratnapura, Anuradhapura and
Trincomalee and quizzed them on the action taken. The district leaders
said that they find it extremely difficult to convince people.
Nominations for Sam's boys
Wedding Sam has helped a few of his blue-eyed boys to get their names
into the nomination lists. Ra-Blue had inquired about their backgrounds
before giving them the green light following Wedding Sam's request. One
wonders what Ra-Blue and Sam would do when they are defeated at the
polls that are provincial.
