Heart patient needs help
Four-year-old Udara Pramod of Boddagala, Penetiyana, Weligama is
suffering from a heart ailment and the Thoracic surgeon at Karapitiya
Hospital has recommended open heart surgery.
As the family is in needy circumstance, they appeal for public

Amanda needs help
Sixteen-year-old Amanda Tharindi Abeywickrema, a Grade 11 student of
Mahamaya Balika Vidyalaya, Matara, has been diagnosed with scoliosis and
has to undergo surgery to correct her spinal deformity.
The cost of surgery at the Appollo Hospitals in Chennai is Indian Rs.
800,000 which includes cost of spinal implants and nine-day
hospitalisation. Amanda would be grateful to the generous public and

A fifty-three-year-old patient who is to undergo a liver transplant
has appealed to any generous person who is willing to donate a small
part of his liver.
