Micromax ties up with Metropolitan Telecom

Micromax Informatics Ltd (Micromax), has appointed Metropolitan Telecom Services as its sole agent in Sri Lanka. Through this partnership, Micromax hopes to aggressively expand its activities and presence in the country, a spokesman for the company said.


DIMO launches 'My Mercedes-Benz'

The authorised distributor for Mercedes-Benz in Sri Lanka – DIMO is launching 'My Service', the latest after-sales brand appearance from Daimler AG under the 'My Mercedes-Benz. My Service' theme.

Mercedes-Benz unveiled its new 'My Service' brand appearance at the IAA International Motor Show in Frankfurt recently, a media release said.


Housewife wins Rs. 15m house

Achala Nakkawita of Pallekele won the Rs. 15m luxury house in the Seylan Thagi Pita Thagi draw.

She received the keys from Chairman, Seylan Bank, Mohan Pieris PC at a ceremony at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel in Colombo.

The construction industry's leaders showed off their latest innovations at Sri Lanka's largest construction exhibition, ‘Construct 2012’ recently at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre. United Tractors and Equipment (Pvt) Ltd (UTE), who were the main sponsor for the fourth consecutive year.

Dialog roaming customers win F1 bonanza

Four lucky winners received an all inclusive package from Dialog Axiata PLC, to watch the British GP in England. The package included airline tickets, accommodation, race tickets and transfers to and from the airport and Silverstone International GP race trace.


Ifthar at Seylan Bank

An ‘Ifthar’ ceremony was organised by Seylan Bank on July 30, at the Ramada Hotel. The Bank invited Muslim clients for the Ifthar.

Senior management of Seylan Bank led by the General Manager and Chief Executive Officer Kapila Ariyaratne participated.

Seminar on Australian migration

The Australian Migration Consultants, Sri Lanka will hold a seminar on August 26 from 2 pm - 4 pm at the Cinnamon Lakeside to highlight the recent changes made by the Australian Migration Authority on the migration of skilled persons to Australia.


Workshop on 'Innovation for Service Quality'

The Knowledge Conglomerate (TKC) recorded its third workshop of the Executive Education series - 'Innovation for Service Quality'. The workshop will be conducted by Dr. Sunil Gupta.

The workshop will address core areas of Innovation: Why innovation? Why service quality is not enough? Myths and barriers of innovation and tools of innovation. The workshop will be held at the Galadari Hotel on September 11.
