CEB trade unions manipulated, sabotage not ruled out
Power and Energy Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka
said now trade unions cannot simply hijack the people’s right to
electricity. The Minister in an interview with the Sunday Observer said
at the end of recent Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) strike, some trade
unions affiliated to the JVP tried to sabotage the electricity supply by
resorting to terror tactics.
