Zam Gems wins Gold

The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) has awarded Zam Gems the Gold award in the Precious Stones and Jewellery - Large Category.

The NCE is the only private sector Chamber which exclusively serves Sri Lanka exporters and is the 'Voice of Exporters'. It conducts the Annual Export Awards Ceremony to recognise and motivate Sri Lankan exporters.

"Dominant and a robust performance have placed Zam Gems at the pinnacle of foreign exchange earners to the country. Delivering outstanding sales value with a keen eye on services and quality coupled with hard work has brought these accolades to this gem establishment, a spokesman for the company said.

"Zam Gems continues to dominate the local gem trade with its offer of variety and the latest trends prevalent in the industry," he said.

"This has helped us achieve recognition for the company's efforts to bring in much needed foreign exchange to Sri Lanka," Zam Gems Chairman Z.A. M. Refai said. Zam Gems today has thirteen outlets - eight in Sri Lanka and five franchises overseas.

"While overseas it has outlets at the Duty Free showroom at Kuala Lumpur international airport; the Conrad Maldives, Rangali Island and SRL Kanuhura in the Maldives; the Land Mark Mall in Qatar. The China Shanghai showroom has been their latest addition," he said.

Zam Gems is exploring the possibility of setting up many more outlets to cater to their ever increasing clientele.

Zam Gems also participates in leading gem and jewellery events worldwide and keeps itself updated on the latest trends, designs and developments with a international sales team led by its Managing Director, Ahsan Refai.
