Agreement opens multi-billion international opportunity
Agro-forestry investment company, Touchwood as a group has secured
28,000 acres of harvest-ready plantations in Cambodia. Touchwood
Investments PLC in Sri Lanka, has been awarded a contract to oversee and
maintain the entirety of the plantation acreage.
While 22,000 acres will be replanted with high-value trees, Touchwood
Group will maintain 5,800 acres as an ecological preservation for flora
and fauna. Replanting is also expected to enhance carbon sequestration
from the plantation, a media release from the company stated.
“Touchwood is expected to reach greater heights. I am proud to say
that the flooring factory has been commissioned. We are now able to
focus on agro-forestry and plantation management and intensify our
down-streaming strategies for value addition,” said Founder of Touchwood
