Richard Pieris Plantations appoints new Managing Director

Sunil Poholiyadde has been appointed Managing Director of the Plantations Sector of the Richard Pieris Group which comprises Kegalle Plantations PLC, Namunukula Plantations PLC and Maskeliya Plantations PLC from August 2012, a media release from the company stated.

Poholiyadde started his career in the plantation sector 36 years ago as an Assistant Superintendent and became Senior Superintendent in a short period of time. He joined the senior management of Kegalle Plantations in the year 1997.

Poholiyadde is a Director of Richard Pieris Natural Foams Ltd, Exotic Horticulture (Pvt) Ltd. and AEN Oil Palm Processing (Pvt) Ltd.

He is also a director of the Rubber Research Board and the Wages Board for the Rubber Growing and Manufacturing Trade.
