Exposition of Relics
The exposition of the Buddha's Sacred Hair Relics and Relics of great
Arahats, gold and silver statues, ivory statues and carvings and many
artefacts including precious 'Gaja Muthu', will be held till January 02,
2013 at Gangaramaya, Sri Jinaratana Road, Colombo 2.
Lanka-Japan friendship celebrates DPL ties
The Lanka-Japan Friendship Society will celebrate the 60th
anniversary of diplomtic relations between Sri Lanka and Japan on
Friday, October 12 at 6.45 p.m., at the Waters Edge, Battaramulla. The
Ambassador for Japan Nobuhito Hobo and Mrs. Tomommi Hobo will be the
chief guests.
Appeal for A+/B+ kidney
 Fifty-three-year old U.A.P. Premakumara of Mahara, Kadawatha is
suffering from a severe kidney malfunction and Consultant Nephrologist,
Dr. A.L.M. Nazar of the National Hospital has recommended kidney
transplant at the earliest.
Premakumara appeals to donors for a kidney whose blood group is 'A'
or 'O'.
