Trinity enter final with 41-24 win over Wesley

Trinity qualified to meet Isipathana in the 'Milo' President's Trophy
schools under 19 knock out rugby final defeating Wesley by 41 points (4
goals, 2 tries and a penalty) to 24 (2 goals, 2 tries) in their semi
final match played at the Royal College Sports Complex grounds
yesterday.
The winners led 24-7 at the breather.
The Kandy school displayed their all-round superiority with the forte
being their strong set of three quarters where most of the scoring was
done. Wesley played well with their forwards and whenever they invaded
into the Trinity territory they were a threat and scored their tries.
Wesley scored their tries through Udara Gayan, Viraj Nissanka. Gavin
Siegertz and Rahul de Silva of which two were converted by Rahul de
Silva.
For Trinity winger Tharindu Kiriella, Halique Wadood (2), Kanil
Seneviratne, Randika Alwis and Tharindu Ratwatte were the try scorers
and Thisara Karunatileka gave them the extra points.
Trinity will take on league champions Isipathana in the final on
October 14 (Sunday) at the Royal Sports Complex.
