CEAT gets new MD/CEO

Tanmay Agarwal

CEAT Kelani International Tyres (Pvt) Ltd has appointed Tanmay Agarwal as Managing Director and CEO of the Company. He succeeds N. C. Venugopal. A Mechanical Engineer and Post Graduate in Management, Agarwal has 20 years experience with multinational companies in India.

CEAT Kelani Holdings Chairman, Chanaka de Silva said, "Tanmay Agarwal's multi-faceted professional experience in operations, sales, finance and supply chain in MNCs (multinational corporations) will be invaluable to CEAT Kelani, especially since the business is on the threshold of a new phase of expansion. His arrival will strengthen the management team and sharpen focus on our route map for growth."

Agarwal said, "CEAT Kelani Holdings is a leader in its segment and CEAT is the single highest selling tyre brand in Sri Lanka. We make available in Sri Lanka international quality tyres at competitive prices. We have been doing well, and to further strengthen our position in some of the segments and take us to the next level of growth, we are now embarking on a number of new initiatives through investments in technology, capacity expansion and on-ground sales and marketing efforts.
