HOPE Trust to set up rehab centre

Founders of the HOPE Trust of Hyderabad, India, Rahul and Rajeswary Luther held a media conference in Colombo last week.At the conference they spoke about the devastation alcoholics and those hooked on drugs cause to their families.Unless such people are tactfully and systematically handled, devastation stemming from alcoholism and drug addiction, could lead to trauma and family disintegration. It is a serious problem, but nobody wants to openly admit that he or she is a chronic addict.

There are women too among the chronic addicts. The problem is mainly kept under wraps but do not assume that there is no problem.

The HOPE Trust was initiated to help such families. An addict was not just a single person affected, but those around him or her were unavoidably dragged to a life of misery.
