Meda Gedara
Meda Gedara is telecast at 7 pm daily on week days on Swarnavahini
Dhananjaya and his parents come to Uththara's house with a proposal
for her. They accidentally see her sister Anuththara and Dhananjaya
offers her a job in his company. Vimantha who is interested in
Anuththara also works in this company.
Dhananjaya entrusts Vimantha to train Anuththara. Dhananjaya's
brother Kalpa meets Sasandara while finding a location for a shoot. But
he is not aware that she is the sister of Uththara or Anuththara.
Sasandara is already involved with a young businessman called
Terrence. They meet by coincidence but Terrence is actually not a
wealthy businessman as he poses off. He is a driver of the Senaratne
couple. Nimsara, a medical student has big hopes about her future.
She gets involved with an arts graduate, Ranga boarded in the
neighbourhood. But her elder sister Uththara tries to explain to her
about the consequences that may emerge in the future. Ranga blames
Uththara for trying to brainwash her sister.
Nisal returns Rasaara's lost purse to the boarding house saying a
friend had given it to be returned. Kelum sees Rasaar's photograph in
the purse, but fails to remember that she is the girl in the
neighbouring house. Kelum and Rasaara meet at the admission to the
degree course. After the purse incident Nisal and Rasaara become very
close to each other. Nisal has in his possession identity cards and
driving licences and this arouses suspicion in Kelum's mind.
The father of five girls, Hettiarachchi goes to meet Senaratne
seeking monetary help. He recalls a past incident of Senaratne that took
place over 30 years ago which perturbs Senaratne. Anuththara tells
Dhananjaya that a company share goes to an unidentified person.
Meanwhile, Senaratne comes in search of Dhananjaya's father Harris.
After Anuththara realises this episode, someone in the company tries to
get rid of her. She seeks Vimantha's help to find out the identity of
that person.
Tharaka's parents live in Tharaka Gedara, near Meda Gedara. They
conspire with Hettiarachchi to get rid of the boarders. Tharaka and her
husband visit the home once in a while. Tharaka decides to separate from
her husband Hasanga due to some of his immoral qualities. Tharaka always
suspected her husband.
Sasandara meets a middle-aged businessman who is introduced as
Terrence's father. But she little realises that it is Hasanga's father.
Uththara feels that marriage is a distant dream for her and decides
to spend the rest of her life in solitude. She meets Amantha by chance
but avoids him several times. Her behaviour shows that there had been
some past incident involving the two of them.
Hettiarachchi realises that an unknown person is following his trail.
He gets upset that his life is at risk. Kelum tries to make Rasaara
aware that her boyfriend is a cheat. But Rasaara scoffs such talk and
Sasandara continues to fall prey to Terrence.
