Dear children,

Today is Poson Poya day. On a day like today, Arahant Mahinda brought the great religion of Buddhism to this country.

Those of you who are Buddhists will I am sure, go to the temple and engage in religious observances. It is a day of piety and temples throughout the country will conduct religious programs and sermons. Some devotees will go to Mihintale, the mountain where Arahant Mahinda conveyed the message of the Buddha. We carry detailed information in our inside pages today.
