Blistering century by Kusal

Moors Sports Club's opening batsman Kusal Mendis cracked a sparkling
century and helped Moors to score 227 runs for three wickets in just
24.3 overs against Moratuwa Sports Club in their Under-23 Division One
cricket tournament match played at Braybrooke Place yesterday.

The former Cambrian and Sri Lanka Under-19 captain reached his
hundred in just 60 balls with seven sixes and nine fours. The elegant
left hander shared a century partnership with aggressive left hander
Shehan Jayasurya, who cobbled an unbeaten 41-ball 86 runs. Jayasuriya
hit four massive sixes and nine boundaries in the two-hour match during
last two days.

Ramesh - a superb double
Sinha Sports Club's Ramesh Mendis, who took a five wicket haul on the
first day, hit a blistering hundred yesterday against Colts Cricket Club
in their Under-23 Division One cricket tournament match at Galle
Stadium.
Ther former Sokian hit 15 fours and helped Sinha SC to score 293 in
reply to Colts' 327.
