Old Thurstanites enter quarter-finals

Old Thurstanits 'B' booked a berth in the Colombo District Cricket
Association quarter-finals and for the Provincial Knock-out tournament
when they beat Heshan Sports Club, Colombo by one wicket in their
Inter-Club Division III tournament cricket match played at Thurstan
Grounds.
Visitors batting first second 173 runs with Y. Piyadasa missing a
well deserved century and Mackenzie Perera had a good spell of 3 for 11
and in their turn Old Thurstanites passed the total with one wicket
intact.
Heshan SC: 173 in 46.1 overs (Y. Piyadasa 92, Upamal Dias 37,
Makenzie Perera 3 for 11, Anura Shantha 2 for 29, Ayesh Weeratne 3 for
19).
Old Thurstanites: 174 for 9 in 41.3 overs (Kasun Abeyratne 37, Dilon
Udugamsuriya 25, Tharindu Gunarathne 27, Tarindu Wickramasinghe 32 not
out, L.M. Perera 2 for 30, T.M. De Silva 2 for 29, K.D.R. Thivanka 3 for
38).
