Employees awarded diplomas

Forty-eight employees of Fashion Bug, including Branch Managers, Deputy Managers and Merchandisers who successfully completed the Diploma in Sales and Marketing at the Human Resource Management Institute received their certificates at the convocation ceremony at the Lakshman Kadiragamar Institute for International Relations and Strategic Studies. The chief guest was CEO, Chevron Lubricants, Dr. Kishu Gomes and the guest of honour was Founder Director, Human Resources Management Institute, Gihan Talgodapitiya.

The board of directors of Fashion Bug, Lecturer, Human Resources Management Institute, Ms. Wathsala Nanayakkara and Group Training and Development Manager, Star Garments and Senior Lecturer, Human Resources Management Institute, Matheesha Mahamalage were present.

The one-year diploma course was offered to all employees who opted to read for it. The company invested Rs. 2.5 million in this exercise to boost the morale of their staff.

The areas covered in the course included customer care, consumer behavior, sales strategy, people management, basic management, supplementary knowledge in retail marketing, basic marketing and selling.
