Buddhika hits third successive century

Tamil Union's Rumesh Buddhika cracked his third consecutive century
in successive matches in the on-going Sri Lanka Cricket Under-23
Division One cricket tournament, when he scored 103 against Sri Lanka
Navy Sports Club on the second day at P Sara Oval yesterday.

Buddhika, the former Mahinda College, Galle and Sri Lanka Under-19
player, hit eight fours and two sixes during his 103 runs and helped
Tamil Union to pile up 314 runs for the first innings. Buddhika had made
two centuries against Singha SC (118) and Moors Sports Club (100) in the
first two matches. In reply Navy were bowled out for 146 and were forced
on to follow on. At second day's stumps, Navy SC were 97 for 4 trailing
by 71 runs.

Aflam - a mammoth 184
Mohamed Aflam made a big hundred (184) in CCC's commanding total of
381 against Sinha Sports Club, Ambalangoda in a match played at CCC
grounds yesterday.
Aflam punched 16 fours and cleared the boundary rope in four
occasions during the 248-ball knock. Sinha SC were collapsed to 190
runs. CCC's right arm off spinner Maduka Liyanapathirana excelled taking
six wickets for 49.

Moors left arm leg spinner Chamath Gurusinghe took six wickets for 54
against Ragama Cricket Club and the home team are leading by 255 runs
with seven wickets in hand in another match played at Braybrooke Place
yesterday.
Ragama CC made 238 in reply to Moors' 268. Dhananjaya de Silva who
scored 99 runs put on a 158-run partnership with Eranga Ratnayake (94)
for the fourth wicket. Moors were 225 for 3 in their second innings at
the end of the second day.
