Mobitel introduces new mobile device

Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel has tied up with the Nokia Corporation to provide a tailor-made package for the new Nokia 105 mobile device. Nokia 105 is the latest addition to an extensive mobile phone portfolio and its first ULCH (Ultra Low Cost Handset), making it the lowest cost Nokia phone ever.

"This handset has an easy to use interface and a battery standby time of 35 days. Key features include a dust proof key mat to suit tropical climates, 1.45" colour screen and entertainment features such as FM radio, preloaded games, a speaking clock and flashlight," a spokesman for the company said.

"The phone also comes with Sinhala and Tamil keypad options. Nokia also features a one-to-one replacement guarantee on the phone," he said.

Mobitel will add value to the Nokia 105 with a pre-paid package that offers several benefits.

Every Nokia 105 device purchased will contain a Mobitel SIM with these benefits included," the spokesman said.

"This partnership between Mobitel and Nokia is an innovative move made to bring the latest technology in the market closer to the Sri Lankan consumer.

Nokia 105 was created with the needs of the Asian users in perspective.

As a globally respected brand, Nokia is consistently geared to meet the dynamic expectations of consumers while introducing products that offer exceptional service," he said.
