Miringuwa Parada
Miringuwa Parada (conquering the magic) a music video by Chitral
Somapala was launched recently for TV airplay. Chitral Somapala who was
in Sri Lanka for the launch said according to reports just 11 days after
the release, the video has been viewed by more than 75,000 times on
YouTube and downloaded 20,403 times on www.music.lk.
He was happy that his fans were attracted "to the powerful lyrics,
the catchy tune, the power-packed musical arrangement and the
high-octane visuals that epitomise the lifestyle choices of the modern
generation".
The whole idea in the creation was to have a video different from his
1998 hit Nadee Ganga Tharanaya which still continues to echo
successfully in Sri Lanka. He wanted the video visuals to be on a par
with modern European artistry as he intended marketing the video in
Europe mainly and thereby further enhance the image of Sri Lanka.
The lyrics for the song Miringuva Parada were written by Kelum Srimal
while the music direction was handled by Chandresh Kudwa of India. The
video was produced by Saliya Weerasekera of Artswork (Pvt) Ltd and
directed by Sachith Peiris of Five Frogs Studios.
Like Nadee Ganga Tharanaya the music video will capture the
imagination of thousands of fans and become a hit for the Sri Lankan
born singer, song writer, composer, arranger and vocal coach. |
