Hostels for undergrads

Sixty students’ hostels will be constructed at 17 universities that come under the purview of the Higher Education Ministry during the next two years. “Rs. 13 million will be allocated by the government for this purpose.

The project is implemented under a proposal made by the Higher Education Minister S.B. Dissanayake and the problem of accommodation faced by undergraduates will be solved after the students’ hostels are constructed” the Director of Education W.M. Balasooriya said at a meeting of school heads of the Kurunegala District held recently at the Bingiriya National School.
