Ananda, Bishop's dominate Schools' Rowing C'ships

Ananda College, Colombo and Bishop's College clinched the Boys and
Girls Under-20 Pairs events respectively in the second Sri Lanka Schools
National Rowing Championships, worked off at Beira Lake, Colombo
yesterday.

The victorious Ananda College, Colombo Under-20 Boys Four
crew, who clocked 3.32 minutes to win the race - Buddhima
Wickramaratne (bow), Sachintha Wickramasinghe (two),
Sriwanth Kotalawala (Three), Ashan Pitiyarachchi (Stroke)

S Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia and Ladies College, Colombo emerged
Boys and Girls Under-20 singles fours events. Ladies team comprise
Chanika Gunatilleke (Bow), Davina Koch (Two), Tarea Karunaratne (three)
Anoushka Tissera (stroke) and Ashmitha Gunarate (cox) timed 4.22 minutes
to win the event.
Ananda team consisted of Buddhima Wickramaratne (bow), Sachintha
Wickramasinghe (two), Sriwanth Kotalawala (three), Ashan Pitiyarachchi
(stroke) and Subod Gunaskara (cox) clocked 3.32 to clinch the Boys
Under-20 Pairs event.
The Bishop's College Under-20 singles pairs comprise Jithendrie
Gunasena (bow) and Maneka David (stroke) finished in 4.30 minutes to win
the event.
Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa won the Boys Under-14 single fours
comprising Udesh Galapatti (bow) and Pasindu Nipunajith (stroke).
