A youth organisation, “Wayambata Ketak”
was formed by former UNP Kurunegala district MP Dayasiri
Jayasekara for youth of Kurunegala district recently. The
President of “Tharunyata hetak” organisation and Hambatota

The Sri Lanka-Pakistan Friendship
Association conducted a colourful Sports Gala and Cricket
Festival yesterday at the Malay Cricket Club, Padang, Slave
Island, Colombo 2.

High Commissioner for Pakistan in Sri Lanka

A ceremony to award higher national
diploma in local governance was held at the BMICH, Colombo
recently. It was organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of
Local Governance (SLILG). Here the Chief Guest Local

won six awards at Reflections 2013, the international
festival and competition organised by the City Montessori
School, Rajendra Nagar (Campus III), Lucknow, where students
from South Asia, participated recently. Anuki Bogahawatte
and Tharushi Jayaratne won second places for Pixar
Discipline (Multimedia presentation), Nilusha Devapriya won
the third place for Jekyle High (Speech), Bogahawatte and
Devapriya won the consolation prize for Dumb Charades while
Sachini Wijewardena won consolation prizes for Papyrus
Writing and Rhetoric. The Visakha team also collected the
consolation prize for Choreography. Staffers Inoka Subashini
de Silva and Ruklanthi de Silva accompanied the team.
