Major honours for Kingswood

Good all-round performance by 16-year-old Tharindu Liyanage helped Kignswood College to score a first innings win over Maliyadeva College in their schools under-19 cricket tournament match concluded at Maliyadeva College grounds, Kurunegala. Tharindu Liyange made 97 and also captured 4 for 69 with his off-spinner.

Maliyadeva College 268 all out (S. Sharendra 91, P. Keppetipola 47, S. Danith 22, Tharindu Liyanage 4 for 69) and 142 for 2 (S. Sharendra 41, K. Aluwihare 2 for 28).

Kingswood College: 299 all out (Tharindu Liyange 97, Gihan Herath 55, Supun Bandara 38, S. Tharindu 4 for 47).
