Tax on parents to Kandy park

There seems to be more parents than children at the E.L. Senanayake Children's Park, Kandy. These parents gather at popular points in the park and try to get priority for their children when it comes to using the play equipment.

When the matter came up for discussion at the Council, the members arrived at an unanimous decision to levy a tax from those who use the park. One person with a child/children would gain free entrance while others accompanying children would be taxed, it was decided.
