First innings win for Thomians

A solid knock of 62 runs by opener Nipuna Gamage and a captains knock of 51 runs by Madushan Ravichandrakumar enabled St.Thomas College, Mt.Lavinia to gained a first innings win over Zahira College, Colombo and played at Mt. Lavinia.

Zahirians who totalled 221 runs on day one with Nizki Ahmed scoring 75 runs and Ravindu Thilakarathne claiming 4 for 37 and day two Thomians declared at 226 for 6 and when bad light stopped play at 4.35 p.m. Zahirians were 138/2 with M. Arshad contributing 66 runs.
