Presentation on 'Quality and Productivity'

The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka will conduct a presentation on 'Quality and Productivity - the Japanese Way'.

The program will be held on June 24 from 3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. at the National Chamber auditorium, D R Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo 10.

The presentation is intended to inspire participants to adapt and implement some important philosophies, techniques and develop best practices in management issues that have stood out in Japan, so that they could adopt them in their own organisations.

The presentation will cover: Brief introduction to productivity and quality, Introduction to the evolution of Japanese management, Cultural aspects of Japanese management, Culture-free elements relevant for Sri Lanka, Kaizen and techniques under the Kaizen umbrella including a brief introduction to Quality Circles, Hoshin Kanri, Poka Yoke, Gemba Management, TQM and TPM, How Sri Lankan manufacturing and service organisations can benefit by implementing these techniques.

The facilitator, Sunil G Wijesinha is a well-known trainer and a popular speaker on productivity and quality and Japanese Management in Sri Lanka and Asian countries.
