EPF track record commendable – EPF Superintendent

'Some persons have specifically claimed that the EPF has incurred losses amounting to over Rs. 11 billion in 2011 due to investments in the stock market. There is absolutely no truth in such a claim and is an erroneous and misleading allegation, since the 'losses' highlighted are not realised losses, but unrealised reductions in value of investments.'

UN lowers world economic growth forecast

The world economy is expected to accelerate over the next two years, with updated growth rates of 2.8% in 2014 and 3.2% in 2015, the United Nations has reported. In its mid-year update of the ‘World Economic Situation and Prospects 2014’, the UN said that these updated growth rates are slightly lower than its earlier forecast made in January.
