Union Assurance bags Gold award
Union Assurance Toastmasters Club bagged the Golden Gavel Award at
the annual Toastmasters Conference at Holiday Inn, Goa, India.

The Golden Gavel is one of the highest awards a Toastmasters Club can
achieve and is given in recognition of a club's outstanding achievements
by fulfilling the needs as stipulated by the Toastmasters charter.
Union Assurance Toastmasters Club is a relatively young club
chartered in 2010. The Golden Gavel award was achieved by the club for
the first time in their short history.
Toastmasters International (TMI) is a public-speaking world body
incorporated in the USA as the world leader in communication and
leadership development with a membership base of 292,000 in 122
countries that make up its global network.
Union Assurance Toastmasters club received 10/10 DCP goals and
fulfilled all the needs by issuing the club newsletter quarterly and has
been extremely active on the TM Facebook, thereby, qualifying for the
Smedley Award and the Talk up Toastmasters Award while producing winning
speakers.
Union Assurance Toastmasters' President Bernadine Jayasinghe said,
"We are happy to achieve one of the most prestigious awards in
Toastmasters. It was not at all a smooth ride in 2013-14.
