Dear children,

Many of you may have seen the floods either on TV or read about them in the newspapers. The floods wreaked havoc in almost all parts of the island. Many schoolchildren lost their textbooks in the ravaging flood waters. Some schools in the Western Province were closed due to the torrential downpour. Now spare a thought for the affected children and if there is anyway that you can lend a helping hand, do not hesitate to do so. Some of them may have even lost a loved one due to the floods.
