Peterites hold Isipathana to a 25-all draw

St Peter's College did well to hold unbeaten Isipatana College to a 25-all draw in their Singer 'A' Division Segment One match played at Longden Place yesterday after Isipathana led 20-13 at the 'breather'.

Isipathana got their points from five unconverted tries while the Peterites scored a goal, three tries and a penalty.

Number Eight Omalka Gunaratne (one), prop Ganuka Dissanayake (two), winger Asitha Gayashan (one) and full back Rehan de Silva (one) scored the tries for Isipathana.

Lock forward Chathura Dilshan missed all the conversions to the dismay of his team mates.

For the Peterites , winger Shallen Direckze (one), full back Kevin Dickson (two), prop Gihan Fernando (one) scored the tries. Fly half Sandesh Jayawickrama put over a penalty while the last try, which was scored by Gihan Fernando, was converted by Kevin Dickson, which helped the lads from Bambalapitiya to force a draw.
