Abans wins award for HP retail category

The Annual Awards Night of Hewlett-Packard (HP) Sri Lanka was held recently at the Hilton. HP authorised partners were present.

The chief guest was General Manager of Asia Emerging Countries at Hewlett Packard, Ms. Sue San Ang. Country Manager of HP in Sri Lanka, Masud Waqas hosted the function.

The highlight of the evening's program was the presentation of Performance Awards to HP Partners. The award for 'Best Geographical Performance in Retail Category for HP Printers and Personal Systems' was presented to Abans.

Abans has been a long standing partner of HP, selling their products for over a decade. Abans has won many awards for their sales performance and after-sales-service.

Abans sells original HP products through their network of showrooms and authorised dealers islandwide and have authorised regional service centres for HP islandwide.

Abans have also engaged with major incentives with HP towards empowering government employees and university students with HP computers.

HP is an international technology company that operates in more than 170 countries. They explore how technology and services can help people and companies and address their problems and challenges by realising their possibilities, aspirations and dreams.

"Appointing Abans as an authorised Tier 1 partner in Sri Lanka has augured well for HP. Abans have marketed HP products efficiently and promoted the products in urban and remote areas in Sri Lanka," an HP spokesman said.
