Rathugala electrification scheme to be commissioned tomorrow

President Mahinda Rajapaksa will commission the Rathugala Rural Electrification Scheme tomorrow. It was launched under the Uva Udanaya program at a cost of Rs. 304 million.

This electricity scheme would provide electricity to 1,391 households. It would benefit the Aadivasi community at Rathugala in Moneragala and help enhance their quality of life. The Government's policy is to provide electricity to all households before the end of this year, a media release issued by the Power and Energy Ministry said.
