Vidatha to provide free training for unemployed

The Thihagoda Vidatha Resource centre has commenced vocational training programs for unemployed young men, women and school leavers in the Thihagoda Divisional Secretariat area.The training include the manufacture of herbal shampoo products, mosquitoe expelling candles and incense sticks, milk based products, rice based bakery products, curry power products, clear plastic products, confectionery items and manufacture of yoghurt.

All these courses are free and nearly 900 unemployed persons from both sexes in the area have already been benefited by these programs. The training courses will be conducted up to the end of December this year a senior official of the center said.

The alleviation of poverty and unemployment in the division would be aims of all these programs the officials of the Vidatha Resource Centre Thihagoda said.
