Bribery Commission completes 818 investigations

The Bribery Commission has completed investigations against 818 heads of government departments up to now.

There were 167 complaints, the majority of which were against government school authorities and officials in the education field.

There were 85 complaints against police personnel and 65 complaints against officials of Divisional Secretariats.

Around 13 police officers were caught red-handed while accepting gratifications, from January to April 2014 said a senior official of the Bribery Investigation Commission in Kurunegala.
