BoC opens branch at KDU
The Bank of Ceylon (BoC) last week opened its 618th branch at the
Kotelawala Defence Univesity (KDU) premises at Kandawalawatta, Ratmalana
to cater to the growing demand.

It was opened by Bank of Ceylon Chairman Air Chief Marshal Harsha
Abeywickrama.
General Manager D. M. Gunasekara, Deputy General Manager, Retail
Banking, Russel Fonseka, the Branch Manager and staff members were also
present.
The branch will provide an array of services including all deposit
products, wealth management banking services with personal credit
facilities and foreign remittance services. It is equipped with a
24-hour ATM facility and is linked with the islandwide branch network to
provide real time banking.
The bank will be celebrating its 75th anniversary on August 1.
The night banking facility is available at the Wellawatte and
Maharagama branches and a 365-day banking facility at head office branch
in Colombo. Weekend banking facilities are also available at selected
branches on Saturdays and Sundays.
Fitch Rating Lanka Ltd has affirmed the bank's national long-term
rating to AA+ (lka) stable outlook which is the highest rating awarded
to a local commercial bank. The Bank of Ceylon received global
recognition as one of the top 1,000 banks in the world, from the 'The
