Life, a long lesson on humility
Long years ago, I spent a weekend holiday in
Ohiya with a friend whose father was stationed there as a Government
official. Just after the dinner, in the first night all of us came
out of the house for a short walk. To walk in a near-freezing
temperature was an exhilarating experience for me.

Does a falling tree in the forest make a sound
if no one is there to hear it? This is one of the most quoted and
least understood questions in the history of ideas. Even a man of
average intelligence would say that it is a stupid question because
a falling tree would make a sound whether there is anyone to hear it
or not.

Save our oceans
The ocean covers a much greater area on Earth
than land and plays a major role in maintaining the Earth’s
ecological balance. The ocean provides 50 percent of our oxygen and
fixes 25 percent of global carbon emissions. Our food chain begins
in the ocean. It has been known for quite some time that our oceans
are in peril due to many reasons.
