Tourism exhibition concludes
Sancharaka Udawa 2014, the exhibition that
showcases development of the tourism industry in Sri Lanka, was held
in Colombo last week. The exhibition was organised for the fourth

Rice imports stabilise prices
Rice prices in the market have stabilised with
stocks of rice imported from India and Pakistan coming into the
market. However, there is no significant price decline and the
wholesale price of local Nadu was over Rs. 66 per kg and local samba
was over Rs. 76.

CB debunks EPF 'liquidity crisis'
The Central Bank (CB) last week denied reports
of the Government's move to amend the EPF Act as reported by certain
sections of the media. The CB in a media release, categorically
denied the allegations in the news reports that said the EPF Act
