July 15, Day of Technology

The Government has decided to declare July 15 every year as the "Day of Technology in Sri Lanka". Since the academic stream of technology was introduced to Sri Lankan educational system on July 15, last year, this decision to nominate the July 15 as the "Day of Technology in Sri Lanka" was taken by the Government.

"It was a positive turning point in the history of Sri Lankan educational system.

To commemorate this, July 15 every year would be observed as the Day of Technology in Sri Lanka", said Minister of Education Bandula Gunawardena at a conference of Directors of Education of the NWP held recently in Kurunegala.
