GCE A/L 2014 from August 5-29

The Department of Examinations will conduct the G.C.E. A/L Examination 2014 from August 5 to 29 this year. About 295,197 candidates have applied to sit the examination this year. Of them, 234,197 will be school candidates and 61,000 would be private candidates.

The Commissioner General of the Examinations W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara has decided to use the same time table of last year for this year too.

School heads should educate school candidates to behave at exam centres politely and decently during the time of examination is held and if students commit any acts of thuggery and misbehaviour at exam centres, the candidature of them would be cancelled. If candidates are found to have committed any frauds and malpractices, their exam results would not be released after conducting due disciplinary inquiries.
