Ceylon Biscuits goes for baby rusks

Munchee, the flagship brand of Ceylon Biscuits Limited (CBL), recently introduced its newest product, Munchee Baby Rusks.

Babies need to be exclusively breastfed until they are at least six months. After this period, breast milk alone may not provide babies with sufficient nutrients. Introducing complementary foods is the next step to ensure a baby receives all the macro and micro nutrients needed to grow and develop into a healthy child.

"The launch of Munchee Baby Rusks is a natural expansion of our brand," said Group Director and Head of Marketing and Sales, Nandana Wickramage.

"We are increasing our commitment to develop healthy eating habits in babies and young children by introducing nutritious solid foods that will contribute towards a foundation of healthy eating."

General Manager, Marketing, CBL, Theja Peiris said, "Our aim in launching Munchee Baby Rusks is to give parents a locally produced alternative with the best ingredients without sacrificing quality or nutrition. Munchee Baby Rusks are an ideal and practical way to introduce babies to wholesome nutritious solids."
