Abans introduces mid-range smartphone

It comes with a free flip cover, screen guard and a smartwarranty that covers drop damage (if phone is damaged by user accidentally) and liquid damage (if any liquid or such substance seeps into the phone.

The LG Leon is part of the new spread of mid-range smartphones that LG introduced recently. It is affordable and yet carries a load of features.

It has a 4.5 inch FWVGA display with a pixel density of 220ppi, along with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 8MP camera, VGA front camera and a 1900 mAh removable battery.

LG's aim with the LG Leon is to bring a premium feel to a mid-range affordable handset, which has been achieved with a plastic back which looks attractive and feels pretty robust.

The phone comes pre-installed with Android 5.0. LG has removed layers between the screen and the touch sensor to make the screen more responsive.

The LG Leon is selfie-stick friendly with voice and gesture commands that can be used to take photos. The gesture control also works well for taking standard group shots.

The power button and the volume controls are on the back, just below the camera which makes it more comfortable to reach with a finger when holding the phone, rather than the side or the top. The buttons are slightly recessed, which helps prevent pressing them accidently.

Placing these buttons on the back frees the sides and top edges of the device, giving it a nice smooth feel.

The micro USB port for moving files on and off the LG Leon, and charging it, is on the centre of the bottom edge of the handset while the headphone jack is housed at the top end.

The body being relatively small and compact it is easy and comfortable to hold and convenient to reach the buttons at the back of the handset accidentally).

The Smart Warranty comes free for one year with the purchase of any LG Smartphone from Abans or any Abans key partners islandwide.
