Korea Eximbank supports social activities

The Export-Import Bank of Korea (Korea Eximbank) implemented a community based initiative to support renovation of a kindergarten in Nanu Oya, with two other Korean companies, Kolon Global and Keangnam Enterprise.

Thirty-six volunteers from Korea Eximbank, Kolon Global and Keangnam Enterprise refurbished the Wangioya Montessori, early childhood development centre, from May 10-15. The volunteer program carried out under Korea’s CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activity brand ‘Hope Seed Program’ also provided school supplies and medicines.

 


National HR Conference 2015

The National HR Conference 2015 will be held under the theme ‘HR for national prosperity, insights, initiatives and implications’ from June 16-17 at the BMICH.

The Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka (IPM) has dedicated this year’s conference to educate the public on the role played by human resources in ushering in national prosperity.

The conference will create a platform for the country’s HR fraternity to deliberate on the insights, initiatives and implications of people management practices.

The National HR Conference is considered as one of the largest HR events in South Asia.


Ceylinco Insurance declares 200% dividend

Ceylinco Insurance declared a dividend of Rs 20 per share to shareholders for 2014, which is 200% of the original share price. This is also an increase of 25%, of the dividend declared in 2013.

A company official said that the company declared this dividend as a sign of appreciation, for the tremendous trust placed in the company by shareholders and policyholders.

Ceylinco Insurance believes that its success is a reflection of resilience and strength, expressed through the shareholder and customer confidence placed in the company.


Self-service insurance

Asian Alliance Insurance has introduced cutting-edge, self-service insurance, ushering in a new era of quick and convenient motor insurance solutions.

The first of its kind insurance kiosk was launched at the company’s office in Colombo 7.

The insurance kiosk will streamline the path for customers, providing services such as quotations, payments, renewals, new policies and claims thus making all insurance services available via a vending machine.

Customers could make all payments related to motor insurance by credit card at the kiosk.
