The Princess has been named

The newest arrival to the Royal family has been named! She is Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana and her official title will be Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.The name is one that is important in both William and Kate's families. Charlotte is the feminine form of Charles, which is the name of the princess' grandfather Prince Charles.

The first middle name, Elizabeth, honours the current Queen Elizabeth II who is the great-grandmother of Princess Charlotte and her brother George.Diana is a tribute to Princess Diana, William's mother and the baby's grandmother, who sadly passed away at the age of 36.

Mayweather beats Pacquiao

Floyd Mayweather has maintained his unbeaten record with a victory over Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines in their welterweight title bout.Although Pacquiao was the crowd favourite he was unable to land anything substantial on his opponent. Thirty-eight-year-old Mayweather made a strong start and had to withstand some counter-punching by the Filipino.The two boxers are the best of their generation and the event was labelled the 'Fight of the Century'.

101-year-old man pulled out alive from Nepal rubble

An amazing rescue operation following the Nepal Earthquake was reported. A 101-year-old man was pulled out alive from the rubble of his home.Funchu Tamang was rescued from the ruins of his home after being buried under the rubble for seven days! He was flown by helicopter to a local hospital with only minor injuries.He is now in a stable condition in the district hospital with his family whilst doctors treat his injuries.
