When former Indian President Dr. Abdul Kalam met Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at Temple Trees on Saturday morning it appeared as though the author of ‘Ignited Minds’ had inspirational advice for the island’s premier. Kalam was on a three-day visit to Sri Lanka on the invitation of Minister of Power and Energy, Champika Ranawaka, to participate in the Energy Symposium held at the Colombo Hilton on June 26. He met President Maithripala Sirisena and addressed over 1,500 students from schools and universities ‘Future Leaders of Sri Lanka’ conference at the BMICH where he was the Chief Guest.
