New look Sri Lanka team

As many as six players could represent Sri Lanka for the first time in an Asia Cup tournament following the retirement of the big guns.

The six new players are fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera, wicketkeeper batsman Niroshan Dickwella, allrounder Shehan Jayasooriya, batsman Dasun Shanaka, batsman Milinda Siriwardena and leg-spinner Jeffrey Vandersay who have been picked in the 15-member Sri Lanka squad for the Asia Cup which starts on February 25 in Bangladesh.

The Sri Lanka tour party took wing last night after the customary send-off at the headquarters of Sri Lanka Cricket. Sri Lanka are the defending champions but with the new look team may have a herculean task at hand.
