President visits Rajitha in Singapore

President Maithripala Sirisena left for Singapore yesterday morning to visit Health Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne who is receiving treatment following surgery at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore, a spokesman for the Health Minister told the Sunday Observer. Minister Senaratne who was admitted to Mount Elizabeth hospital last week had undergone bypass surgery on Friday (February 26).

The operation was successful and his condition was stable, he said.

The Minister was admitted to a private hospital in Colombo last Friday morning (February 19) for a medical check-up following a chest pain and was flown to Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital on Friday night.
