Palpitations over Pelpita appointment :
Anusha Pelpita, the controversial public servant
who functioned as the Director General of the Telecommunication
Regulatory Commission under the Rajapaksa administration, plunged
the government into fresh trouble last week when he assumed duties
as the Assistant Secretary of the Home Affairs Ministry.
“Even with all our technology and the inventions
that make modern life so much easier than it once was, it takes just
one big natural disaster to wipe all that away and remind us, here
on Earth, that we’re still at the mercy of nature.”
