Jayanthi & Johann at the top of the World:
The Vesak full moon shone on her and on the
surrounding narrow ledge of glistening snow as, braving the freezing
temperature and wind and, her own exhaustion after climbing
thousands of metres in oxygen thin air, Jayanthi Kuru-Utumpala
reached the top of the world on the peak of Mount Everest at 5.20
a.m. on the 21st of May.
