Chinese builder to India to woo investors :
CHEC Port City Colombo, the company handling the
much-talked-about Colombo Port City project, pulled off a
masterstroke last week, when it approached several top Indian
companies to invest in the project. This was a highly significant
achievement in terms of geo-political relations concerning India,
China and Sri Lanka.

Much has been written about the so-called Sampur incident: reports,
comments, letters to the editors of newspapers and even fun
articles. A newspaper carried a columnist’s parody on the incident
where a film script was being crafted.

was pondering his modus operandi when he received an important
visitor. It was President Maithripala Sirisena visiting his old
